SYFA SERYFA ESSDA

General Information

We provide an opportunity for players to develop and put into practice their football skills under the supervision of a team of voluntary coaching staff - such an undertaking, however, requires careful and dedicated protection management in order to nurture a safe environment for our players whilst they participate in Club activities.

AC Oxgangs FC are of the firm opinion that an alert and robust approach to child protection is essential in order to vet potential officials & coaches, to prevent the divulgence of player details in the public domain, and to discourage inappropriate or unwelcome interest from outwith the Club.

Cheryl Lee
With this in mind, Cheryl Lee was elected to the Committee in 2007 as our Child Protection Officer. In addition to her professional qualifications and experience in the field of child care and education, Cheryl has undergone comprehensive training with Disclosure Scotland to advise the Club of its legal duties in terms of compliance with The Protection of Children (Scotland) Act.
Cheryl's responsibilities include implementing and supervising various practical procedures such as the safe recruitment of Club officials, and the management and investigation of any concerns raised by players, parents/guardians and Club officials,
Cheryl Lee
