A really excited bunch of our 2009s headed off to their first ever tournament from 3 to 6 May 2019 to participate in the SCI Skegness Mitre Ultimatch Cup!

SCI Skegness Mitre Ultimatch Tournament
3-6 May 2019

We travelled down to Skegness for the weekend of 3-6 May 2019 to participate in our first ever competitive tournament and the boys certainly represented themselves and their club in a manner to be proud of.

It was a very tough tournament, playing against lads a year older than us, but that did not faze them one bit - they all put in 100% and tried their very best. Watching them celebrate their goals and match win as a team was great to see.

It topped off a great end to the weekend being crowned Fair Play Award Winners for the Under 10 age group - well deserved winners! Win, lose or draw the boys always had good sportsmanship which is so important in football.

The most important thing is the boys thoroughly enjoyed the weekend away and had so much fun together as a team.

Well done boys, both your coaches are proud of you.

2009s Coaches Stephen Miller & Danny Bennet: "Really good first term playing ESSDA Super 5s. We have improved so much since the boys first started back in January. Feedback from players and also parents is amazing - they are really enjoying their football and can't wait to get going again in the 2nd part of the season."

A BIG day for the 2009s as they prepare for their first ever outing at the ESSDA Winter Football 4s held at Riccarton on Sunday 22 January 2017
